POMER (7 km from Pula) is a picturesque village located in Istria's far south, which was already settled during the Bronze Age.
The remains of rustic villa are evidence of the ancient Romans' wise selection of Pomer as an ideal living place.
In the surroundings is situated the protected landscape "Kamenjak", the long, narrow peninsula which is 3.5 km long and 1.5 km wide and stretches into the Adriatic sea like a long arm.
Kamenjak encircles a 30 km of coastline dotted with numerous inlets and miniature beaches. This primeval beauty is augmented by 11 small islands which arise from the crystalline blue-green sea. |
In the village there are several restaurants, a coffee shop (20 m) and a local shop (20 m), and in its surroundings a beach (500 m) with a windsurf center, a shopping center (500 m), a pharmacy (800 m), a dental office (800 m), a post office (800 m) and a petrol station (800 m).
